Sleepover In the Library

Some very special guests slept over at Sutherland Library this week. We had the pleasure of having 22 children and their toys join us at Monday night storytime.
The toys were very well behaved while we sang the songs, read the stories and shared a movie. And there were no unfortunate incidents involving glue during the making of the craft.
But look what happened after the lights went out..........

World Diabetes Day November 14th 2010

Diabetes is one of the world's leading cause of chronic illness.

World Diabetes Day is held every year on November 14th. This global campaign addresses issues faced by the global diabetic community. November 14th was chosen to recognise this day each year as it marks the birthday of Frederick Banting, who along with Charles Best first conceived the idea which led to the discovery of insulin in 1922.
The Diabetes Australia website has lots of useful information about diabetes and Sutherland Library has many books on this health issue.

Your toys will have fun joining in with the stories, songs, film and craft. Then say goodnight to them for the night.
What mischief will your toys get up to? Find out at the following Monday night storytime when the photos will be displayed exposing the toys' adventures
